Concept of MOTOR EXPO 2010
Unify…Create Earth-loving Vehicles.

         • In the auto industry there are 3 key Stakeholders, namely the Producer, the Government and the Consumer.
The 3 parties have their roles to play but at the same time they have to respond to one another’s needs for the industry to develop and grow continuously.
In any event the Producer tends to play the hardest role as he has to come up with vehicles that satisfy the Consumer, under the regulatory framework imposed by the Government.
But then again, in imposing various measures the Government needs to take into consideration their practicability and commercial viability of the industry operators as well as ensuring that the regulations are not impediments to the Producer’s technological development.
In actual fact the Stakeholder who really determines the course of the auto industry, from past to present, is the Consumer.
Throughout the years, the Consumer’s diverse and insatiable demands have increasingly intensified competition in the auto industry, mainly in the way players try to outperform one another with regard to speed, power and luxurious comfort.
But while the Consumer enjoys vehicles fully equipped with sophisticated technology, our environment is being threatened by the very same technology.
Because speed and power are obtained at the expense of higher rates of fuel consumption and pollutant emission, while luxurious comfort calls for extravagant use of resources.
Explicitly stated, the planet is being harmed by the automotive technology in response to consumer demand, resulting in global warming, natural disasters, unpredictable and irregular weather conditions in all corners of the globe, sending a warning signal that it is about time we stopped hurting the planet.
Beginning from consumers, who are virtually the roots of all problems and need to unify in opting only for vehicles with high performance and efficiency but are fuel-frugal, emitting less pollutants and not requiring extravagant use of resources. At the same time they need to reject vehicles that are faster, more powerful and more luxurious than they already are now — so long as the “have your cake and eat it” technology has not yet been developed.
The Producer will have to come up with “Earth-loving Vehicles” to replace old ones as fast as the Consumer’s changing needs require.
The Government can also play an important role in promoting earth-loving vehicles by imposing various measures such as appropriate tax rates and feasible production conditions, financial incentive to users of vehicles with low pollutant emissions, finding new markets for the Producer, etc.
We, acting as intermediary for the 3 Stakeholders and wishing to see an ambiance of brotherhood in the automotive circles to jointly ensure that clean environment is forever preserved on this planet, thus have great pleasure in letting “The 27th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2010” be the main platform for proclaiming unification of the 3 Stakeholders under the concept “Unify…Create Earth-loving Vehicles”.
