Mar 7 , 2017
Mazda Thailand invites Mazda car customers back for service to inspect and replace internal parts of the Takata airbag module, which is a preventative measure and to ensure maximum safety for customers. There are 102,296 affected vehicles that need to undergo inspection and replacement of internal airbag module parts at all Mazda service centers nationwide without any cost whatsoever, and the inspection takes approximately 30 minutes.
Mazda recognizes and places great importance on customer safety. Therefore, it has invited Mazda car customers who are subject to inspection and replacement of internal parts of Takata-manufactured airbags due to the issue with the gas inflator unit in the airbag on the driver's and passenger's side, which may generate higher than normal pressure in some cases when the airbag deploys, which could cause the airbag to rupture and potentially lead to injury for the driver or passengers.
The company has sent a notification letter to Mazda customers to inform them that their Mazda vehicles need to be inspected and have the airbags replaced to confirm that the product quality meets the global standards set by Mazda and primarily for the convenience of customers. Therefore, the company invites customers to bring their vehicles for this special service program at their convenient Mazda service center.
