BMW Motorrad is ready to elevate the long-distance two-wheel riding experience with the unveiling of the BMW R 1300 RT, the new top-of-the-line model in the RT family. It sets new standards with all-around innovation, including a newly developed suspension system, intelligent rider assistance systems, and a new agile appearance that still offers excellent protection for the rider from the elements. All of this combines to deliver superior riding performance in every dimension, providing comfort for both rider and passenger, along with precise control at all times on the road.

BMW R 1300 RT: The Ultimate in Quality and Modernity
The new BMW R 1300 RT was developed to deliver the ultimate long-distance riding experience in true touring style. It's ready to hit the road with you, featuring a new, more aerodynamic design compared to other larger RT models, making it more agile and easier to control.
The chassis of the new BMW R 1300 RT has been completely redesigned, with its core being a main frame made of steel, which is both more compact and stronger than the previous RT model. When this body is paired with the engine and entire powertrain, which have also been developed to be smaller, the new R 1300 RT has a center of gravity that is more perfectly aligned with the shape of the bike, resulting in more precise and stable control than before. The side wind deflectors can be adjusted to choose between the cool comfort of passing airflow or extended to deflect wind and raindrops away from the rider, while the side engine covers protect footwear and ankles from water, even when traveling in the rain.
The handlebars, footrests, and seat of the new BMW R 1300 RT have all been adjusted and positioned to suit the rider's ergonomics, moving the rider further forward than in previous RT models. This allows the front of the bike to respond more quickly to every control, enhancing the bike's agility at high speeds while maintaining its usual precision and smoothness for comfortable days. For luggage space, this model comes with two 27-liter storage cases installed as standard equipment. Each case can be expanded internally to a maximum capacity of 33 inches, which will make the bike slightly wider. Additionally, two top cases are provided, with capacities of 39 and 54 liters. Meanwhile, the special Option 719 Camargue model comes standard with a large top case featuring a heated backrest.
This newly designed body, complete with all its features, is mounted on a suspension system utilizing Dynamic Chassis Adaption (DCA) technology, which uses an electrical system to adjust the stiffness of the springs and suspension. It can also adjust the bike's lean angle in two modes: the standard mode sets the bike's steering head parallel to the road surface to enhance riding smoothness and stability, while the second mode raises the bike, with the rear rising higher than the front, and the springs and suspension adjusted to be stiffer than in the first mode, making the bike respond to controls more precisely and quickly.
The front of the new BMW R 1300 RT features a bright LED headlight set to enhance safety on every route, along with the Headlight Pro package installed as standard equipment for the Thai market. This adds the ability to adjust the headlight angle to tilt down or up according to the bike's body pitch, helping the headlights maintain maximum illumination range in all riding situations, whether accelerating, decelerating, or adjusting the bike's angle via the DCA suspension system.
BMW R 1300 RT Powered by a Newly Developed Engine
In addition to its newly designed body, the BMW R 1300 RT is also powered by a newly developed engine. This 1,300cc 2-cylinder 4-stroke Boxer engine is the most powerful Boxer engine from BMW's production line, delivering a maximum output of 107 kW/145 hp at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox and a wet clutch with an integrated anti-lock rear wheel function. It remains easy to ride with the Shift Assistant Pro system installed as standard, allowing gear changes without using the clutch. For the special Option 719 Camargue model, convenience is further enhanced with the Automatic Shift Assistant (ASA) system, which automatically controls both clutch and gears at every step.
The new BMW R 1300 RT comes standard with the Riding Modes Pro package, offering a choice of 5 riding modes: “Rain” and “Road” modes which adjust the bike's operation to suit current road and weather conditions; “Eco” mode which utilizes BMW Shift Cam technology to maximize engine efficiency for the longest possible range on a single tank of fuel; and “Dynamic” and “Dynamic Pro” modes designed for use with the Dynamic Chassis Adaption (DCA) suspension technology, capable of adjusting the bike's height, spring stiffness, and suspension for maximum agility while riding.

The new BMW R 1300 RT ensures smoothness and safety on the road with a comprehensive suite of rider assistance systems, including Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) with braking assist function, Active Cruise Control (ACC) which allows setting the distance to the vehicle ahead, Front Collision Warning (FCW), and Side View Assist (SVA) which uses radar to detect obstacles both in front of and behind the bike. All these functions, along with navigation and connectivity to smartphones and other devices, can be accessed via a 10.25-inch TFT display.
The new BMW R 1300 RT comes equipped with an Audio System providing enjoyment throughout the journey with integrated speakers, also supporting connectivity with the rider's communication devices. Meanwhile, the special Option 719 Camargue model elevates the entertainment experience further with an audio system from the Audio Pro package, featuring high-quality speakers that allow separate control of bass and treble, the ability to save sound settings as profiles, and a Dynamic Volume Control function that automatically adjusts music volume as needed in each situation.
The new BMW R 1300 RT is available in 2 sub-models: the Impulse model with a sleek, eye-catching look in Racing Blue metallic and 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels, priced at 1,439,000 Baht (VAT included); and the special Option 719 Camargue model, which reaches another level of elegance in Blue Ridge Mountain metallic, featuring Option 719 Shadow Milled Parts, sport wheels of the same size, Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), an upgraded Audio Pro sound system, one additional special LED headlight, and one large top case, priced at 1,569,000 Baht (VAT included).
