The Thonburi Group, operating under the name Thonburi Noistern Co., Ltd., the official importer and distributor of the Geely brand in Thailand, revealed its brand direction and marketing strategy to partners and dealers nationwide. It also joined forces to plan the launch of the new electric vehicle, the Geely EX2, which is set to announce its price for the first time at the "42nd Thailand International Motor Expo" or Motor Expo 2025, held in late November. The company aims to expand its product portfolio into new segments while elevating after-sales service with the Thonburi Group's 85 years of experience, to enhance the dealer network's potential and build maximum confidence among Thai customers in all dimensions.

Narong Seetalayon, CEO of Thonburi Noistern Co., Ltd., revealed that amidst fierce competition in Thailand's electric vehicle market due to the entry of various new brands, this clearly reflects the market's high growth potential, and this is an opportunity for Geely to truly establish a clear foothold. The success of the Geely EX5 since its launch late last year, with reservations and deliveries proceeding as planned, is one proof of confidence from Thai consumers. To strengthen the product line and offer new options to meet more diverse segments, the Geely EX2 (right-hand drive version) is prepared to be launched for the first time in the world in late 2025. Concurrently, we are laying long-term foundations through a plan to expand showrooms and service centers to over 40 locations within this year, aiming for unified standards nationwide, and are also preparing to open the first flagship showroom in Thailand soon, which will be a service hub creating a new and distinct experience for Thai customers. The goal is to grow together with partners and dealers nationwide, alongside building consumer confidence

At the event, Thonburi Noistern Co., Ltd. reiterated its commitment to being a leader in the electric vehicle market by announcing policies and strategic plans for sustainable growth. It highlighted the unique features and differentiation of its innovative electric vehicle products, which are not only outstanding in quality and advanced technology but are also meticulously designed to meet the lifestyles of Thai consumers. The company plans to launch at least one new Geely electric vehicle model into the Thai market every year, strengthening its position with a 360-degree sales and marketing plan, coupled with elevating after-sales service standards through a dealer network expansion plan to reach target customer groups more comprehensively. Currently, there are 26 operational showrooms and service centers, focusing on delivering the best experience to create customer satisfaction in all dimensions. The integration of the Thonburi Group's 85 years of expertise and experience with Geely's potential as a global automotive leader will help propel Geely to the forefront of the Thai EV market stably

Daniel Tong, Senior Director of Geely Auto International Corporation, added that Geely views Thailand as one of the most potential electric vehicle markets in the ASEAN region. With supporting factors such as government policies, the development of EV infrastructure, and consumers' readiness to fully embrace new innovations, Thailand plays a crucial role as a hub for electric vehicle propulsion in this region. The launch of the Geely EX2 in Thailand will not only build consumer confidence but also reiterate that Geely is fully prepared to support its partner, Thonburi Noistern, both in terms of introducing new products and creating a strong brand ecosystem, to jointly push Thailand to become a leader in the ASEAN electric vehicle market

The Geely EX2 received an overwhelming response when it was first unveiled in Thailand at the 46th Bangkok International Motor Show earlier this year, under the name Geely Star Wish. This compact electric hatchback is ready to set new standards in Thailand's small electric vehicle market, distinguished by its unique curved design, both exterior and interior, meticulously crafted and fully equipped with advanced technological systems. Its official retail price is scheduled to be announced at the upcoming 42nd Thailand International Motor Expo. Thonburi Noistern believes that the Geely EX2 will be another important model for expanding Geely's customer base in Thailand in the future
