Toyota revealed the market direction for May, with the first deliveries of the Land Cruiser FJ. It is expected that the response to this model will continue to be a driving force. Supphakorn Rattanawaraha, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., stated that Toyota's cumulative sales for the first 4 months of this year were 79,180 units, representing a market share of 34.35%, and a growth of 4.76% compared to the same period last year. This was led by Pure Pick Up (Hilux Travo, Revo, and Champ) with 25,194 units, and the Eco Segment (Yaris and Yaris Ativ) with 23,952 units.
For the overall car market in April 2026, domestic sales totaled 48,394 units, an increase of 2.54% compared to the same period last year. The passenger car and SUV market (Passenger Car+SUV) had sales of 33,654 units, an increase of 9.07% from April last year. Meanwhile, pickup trucks had sales of 9,831 units, a decrease of 10.11% from April last year. Electric pickup trucks (BEV) had sales of 109 units, an increase of 36.35% from April last year, and PPV vehicles had sales of 2,619 units, a decrease of 16.57% from the same month last year.

For the total car sales in the first 4 months, sales were 230,477 units, an increase of 15.02% compared to the same period. Passenger cars and SUVs (Passenger Car+SUV) had sales of 157,099 units, an increase of 23.91% from last year. Pickup trucks had sales of 48,324 units, a decrease of 5.84% from last year. Electric pickup trucks (BEV) had sales of 423 units, an increase of 144.51% from last year. PPV vehicles had sales of 14,746 units, an increase of 16.35% from last year.
As for the automotive market trend in May, it is expected to recover and grow from the previous month, driven by positive seasonal index factors and the gradual delivery of vehicles from bookings made during the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show.

For Toyota, May marks the first month of deliveries for the Land Cruiser FJ, a new automotive model that has created a phenomenon and received excellent customer response. It is expected that by May, bookings for the Land Cruiser FJ since its launch will reach 2,000 units. Furthermore, the popularity of this model will be another important driving force helping Toyota maintain its leadership in car market share.
