Pink Line Monorail Extension, SriRat-MuangThongThani Station, to open for free use late June before full opening on July 19, 2025

The Ministry of Transport revealed the progress of the Pink Line Monorail Extension, SriRat-MuangThongThani Station section, totaling 3 kilometers. Currently, the project has progressed by 85.97%, divided into civil works at 87.88% and railway system works at 82.22%, which is 2.17% faster than planned. 

1 Month Free Ride Before Full Opening on July 19

The Pink Line Monorail Extension, the SriRat-MuangThongThani Station section, is expected to begin virtual trial runs in late May 2025. In late June, the public will be allowed to use the service for free for 1 month before its full opening on July 19, 2025, with fares ranging from 15-22 Baht. It will also join the 20 Baht all-day flat fare scheme by September 2025. 

Supporting Travel to MuangThongThani

This project will facilitate people traveling to Impact MuangThongThani and the surrounding areas. It is a Monorail system, similar to the Pink Line Monorail project, KhaeRai-MinBuri section (main line), which is already in service. The connection between the main line and the extension will be at MuangThongThani Station, which has a total of 3 platforms. Platform 1 is for trains heading towards Nonthaburi Civic Center Station, Platform 2 is for trains heading towards MinBuri Station, and for the extension line, Platform 3 is for Impact MuangThongThani Station.

Additionally, a Skywalk connecting the station and Challenger Hall has been constructed to facilitate monorail users traveling to expos, concerts, or various events at Impact MuangThongThani. Users must alight at Impact MuangThongThani Station and use Exit 3 to proceed to Challenger Impact Arena MuangThongThani.
