Due to the use of the CMF platform, Nissan decided to relocate the production base of the new generation Nissan Micra (NISSAN MICRA) from the RENAULT-NISSAN ALLIANCE factory in Chennai, India, which was previously the production and export base for worldwide distribution, to the RENAULT FLINS factory in France instead.
In addition to using this new platform, Nissan also aims to further improve the production quality of the new generation small passenger car to be more widely accepted. And it seems that the new generation Nissan Micra is close to its launch time, as it has already been taken out for real-world testing in Southern Europe.
In terms of design, the new Nissan Micra or Nissan March (NISSAN MARCH) was heavily influenced by the Nissan Sway Concept (NISSAN SWAY CONCEPT), which was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015. Exterior highlights include a new V-SHAPED grille flanked by sleek headlight housings, an aggressive front bumper that complements the hood, a floating roof design, and C-shaped taillights, among others. The new engine is a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder that can produce a maximum of 109 horsepower with 14.8 kg-m of torque.
