In the Pure Pick up segment, even though the overall market trend showed a slowdown, Toyota Hilux sales grew by 6.00% from last year, with a market share of 52.26%, due to the launch and delivery of the new Hilux Travo model earlier this year. For the passenger car segment, there is a clear sign of recovery with a growth rate of 4.52% compared to last year. This is partly due to the continuously strong Eco Segment, which saw sales grow by 22.95% from last year, attributed to the launch of the Yaris Ativ HEV last year. This not only helped maintain a stable sales base for the existing model but also expanded customer demand. It achieved average sales of up to 6,000 units/month throughout January-June. Similarly, the SUV segment showed signs of recovery and grew by 3.68%, led by the Corolla Cross, which increased its sales by 16.31% from last year, with average sales of 1,400 units/month during the first half of the year.

For the automobile market in July, it is expected to slow down slightly according to the Seasonal Index, and some consumers remain cautious about spending as they closely monitor the tensions in the Middle East conflict.
For the direction in the second half of the year, uncertainties, especially economic conditions and tensions in the Middle East conflict, must still be closely watched. However, the overall market is expected to show improvement due to the recovery of the tourism sector and various economic stimulus measures.
“The success and positive response across all segments reiterate the trust customers have always placed in Toyota. To continue this momentum, in the second half of the year, we are ready to generate excitement with plans to launch new car models that will further complete our product lineup and firmly maintain our market leadership.”
