Toyota (Toyota) still holds the number one sales position with a market share of 37.3% for the first 8 months.
Suphakon Rattanawaraha, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., revealed that the August 2068 car market had sales of 47,622 units, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period last year. The passenger car market group saw sales of 18,168 units, down 0.7% from the previous year. The commercial vehicle market improved with sales of 29,454 units, up 12.3%. And the 1-ton pickup truck market had sales of 14,599 units, down 2.5%. HEV vehicles had sales of 11,230 units, up 26% from last year, and accumulated sales for the first 8 months reached 89,598 units, accounting for 50.6% of the total xEV market.

Toyota Still Holds the Championship
As for Toyota, it continues to hold the number one position in the car market with accumulated sales for the first 8 months reaching 149,328 units, representing a market share of 37.3%, led by Yaris Ativ (Yaris Ativ) with 35,017 units and Hilux Revo (Hilux Revo) with 25,182 units. New products introduced have also received excellent customer response, with the New Yaris Ativ HEV, the latest hybrid model, accumulating over 3,700 bookings since its launch in late August until September 24. Meanwhile, for the new versatile BEV electric vehicle, the New bZ4X (bZ4X), which opened for online reservations, 1,890 interested individuals registered (data as of September 26, 2068).
The car market in September is expected to remain stable, as consumers await clarity on the new government's economic policies, which may lead to a slowdown in purchases. Concurrently, fluctuating oil prices and high loan rejection rates from financial institutions continue to impact spending confidence.
