The question is, how many people are willing or patient enough to successfully teach their "partner" or "wife" to drive? Anyone who can teach until the end of the course and they can drive on actual roads is considered "superb" and deserves commendation. For many couples, during the promotional period of new courtship, anything goes. But after a while, the vegetable broth that was once sweet quickly turns bitter. But if any couple is short-tempered, fearing they might break up just over the matter of "learning to drive," then by all means, it would be best to send your partner to a driving school. But if any couple is ready! Or is patient, then find time to teach your loved one to drive. Start with these easy tips...

1. Prepare the car (The location should be one that is not a restricted area or obstructs other people's traffic).
2. Before getting in the car, check for obstacles on the sides, front, and back to ensure nothing is in the way.
3. Open the car door and sit properly in the seat. Explain the various on/off buttons. Do not start the car immediately.
4. Check if the distance between the seat and the steering wheel is appropriate by extending both arms to grasp the steering wheel. The arms should not be too taut or too slack. Click to see---> "Driving Posture"
5. Adjust the left-right mirrors and the rearview mirror to positions where you can see clearly. Click to see how--->"Adjust Mirrors" And don't forget to advise ---> Beware of "Blind Spots"
6. The car's gear must be in position P or N only.
7. Check if the handbrake next to your left hand is pulled up. If it is, put it down (some models have a foot brake (use your foot to tap)).
8. Once you've learned the various systems, start the engine. Don't forget to observe if the lights on the dashboard are normal, and don't forget to practice wearing the seatbelt until it becomes a habit.

9. Let the car idle for a moment. While idling, practice observing the area outside the car, on the sides, front, and back.

Once there are no obstacles, use your left hand to shift the gear to position D (Drive) or R (Reverse).
The car will move slowly without needing to press the accelerator. For older car models, lightly tap the accelerator. 
10. Don't forget to train and advise them to develop good habits, which is "traffic discipline," such as always signaling with "turn signals" when turning, overtaking, yielding, making a U-turn, or parking. This includes "hazard lights" and "fog lights" – when should they be used? Even if you know you are "driving slowly," don't drive in the right lane... Train them until it becomes a habit and second nature. Soon, your partner will certainly be able to "drive." If any couple hasn't succeeded in driving practice yet, don't be discouraged or lose heart.  These are just the basic principles! Practice driving often, and the "skills" will come naturally.

**New car models may come with many additional safety functions, so drivers, don't forget! It would be better to thoroughly study the "car owner's manual" to understand it completely.
