Mazda Prepares to Launch 6 New Models
On Mazda's part, they revealed their success in 2016, with sales growth as the number 1 Japanese car brand, by 8%, contrary to the overall car sales which decreased by 4%. They also announced that in 2017, they will launch 6 new models, setting a sales target of 50,000 units, or an increase of more than 18%.
Chanchai Trakanudomsuk , Executive Chairman, Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., revealed that in the past year 2016, the company's Mazda car sales grew by as much as 8%, contrary to the overall car market which decreased by 4%, with sales of almost 42,537 units from total car market sales of 767,000 units, having a market share of 5.5%, up from 4.9% last year. What made Mazda successful stems from customer confidence in the brand, which has been built with determination and strength, becoming a brand that customers choose by considering the brand and deciding to choose a car from the brand first, followed by selecting a model suitable for their needs. This is because customers are confident in the superior quality of Mazda cars, whether it's the performance and fuel efficiency of Skyactiv technology, which is genuinely proven, or the distinctive Kodo design that attracts customers. Regarding the business development plan for 2017, the total market sales are expected to increase by approximately 5-8% or more than 800,000 units. Mazda plans to launch as many as 6 new models for greater variety and to meet all needs even more, setting a sales target increase of more than 18% or more than 50,000 units.”...
