This is to facilitate driving license holders who could not convert it within the specified period, by temporarily maintaining the original fee rates. Furthermore, it facilitates by allowing conversion to a personal driving license up to 1 year in advance. This is effective from May 23, 2016 onwards.
The Deputy Director-General of the Department of Land Transport further added that, in addition, the said ministerial regulation also specifies fees for vehicle use and fees for permission to bring vehicles into the Kingdom, which will align with measures to regulate tourists bringing cross-border vehicles into the country, an initiative the Department of Land Transport is implementing with relevant agencies.
