The 5-spoke Aero Wheel alloy wheels are available in 18-inch with 225/55 R18 tires and 19-inch with 235/50 R19 tires, focusing on aerodynamics to improve overall driving efficiency. The EX5 has a drag coefficient of 0.269 Cd, which is a leading aerodynamic figure for an SUV.

The exterior is available in 8 satisfying colors: Dawn White, Morning Mist Grey, Midnight Black, Streamer Silver, Polar Night Blue, Azure Green, Evening Cherry Pink, and Sunshine Red.

A crucial highlight is the car's structural design, which is built upon the dedicated GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) developed by Geely. This architecture ensures both energy management efficiency and structural integrity. Developed from the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, it provides the car with a sustainable experience architecture. The platform supports various configurations, including PHEV, EREV, and BEV, seamlessly integrating their features.

The interior of the Geely EX5 presents a simple Minimalist Design Philosophy, distinguished by luxurious interior trim materials available in 3 colors: Cloud White, Neon Rainbow, and Dusk Blue. It features a 2-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The central console is a layered design connected to the front console, with storage space below, along with USB-C/HDMI ports and a power outlet, as well as a wireless charging pad providing up to 50 watts of power. The cabin ambient light is adjustable up to 256 colors. It also features a 10.2-inch Full Digital instrument cluster and a large 15.4-inch 2.5k HD touchscreen, offering fast and high-performance operation with the 7-nanometer Dragon Eagle-1 processor chip, which integrates connectivity and entertainment in one place. It runs on the Flyme Auto Operating System HMI from MEIZU and supports OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.

The passenger seats offer ultimate comfort, featuring Marshmallow front seats designed with 6 layers, electrically adjustable in 6 directions, with seat heating and 3-level ventilation for both front and rear seats, and an 8-point massage system. The front passenger seat is electrically adjustable with leg support. The second-row seats support 2-level adjustment and can be folded 60:40, providing a trunk space of 1,877 liters when folded and 461 liters when not folded.

A special feature of the EX5's interior is its flexibility to enhance customer comfort with the Half More storage concept, which increases storage space by up to 50% or provides up to 33 storage compartments compared to other SUV models in the market, such as under-seat storage in the rear and rear air vents, etc.

In terms of entertainment, the car features Flyme Auto and Flyme Sound systems, enabling seamless music connectivity and superior sound quality, enhancing the enjoyable in-car experience for both drivers and passengers. It comes with a high-quality 16-speaker Wanos audio system, along with a separate Amplifier delivering a maximum output of 1,000 watts. Additionally, speakers are installed in the headrests of the front seats, enhancing the surrounding panoramic sound dimension.

When it comes to driving technology, the Geely EX5 is second to none. It features the highlight 11-in-1 Intelligent Electric Drive System, with 11 main components working together in a single unit, providing superior efficiency and performance compared to conventional electric drive systems. With CTB (Cell-To-Body) battery integration technology, the vehicle can achieve a golden ratio 50:50 front-to-rear axle weight distribution, which helps lower the car's center of gravity.

This includes specially developed battery technology, ensuring maximum safety, durability, and superior protection under severe damage test conditions, with a lifespan of over 50 years. The Geely EX5 battery uses LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries) called the “Aegis Short Blade Battery", the latest version from Geely. It will be available in two capacities: 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh. Powered by a single front-wheel-drive electric motor, it delivers 215 hp (PS) and 320 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 175 km/h. It can travel up to 415-505 km on a single charge according to NEDC standards. It supports Type 2/CCS Combo AC charging from 10-100% in 9 hours and DC charging from 10-80% in 17 minutes.

Furthermore, the EX5 comes fully equipped with safety systems, including 6 airbags, a 360-degree surround-view camera with a Transparent Chassis system to view the condition under the car. It also has 5 ADAS cameras working in conjunction with 12 Ultrasonic sensors to provide automated driving assistance up to Autonomous Level 2, such as ACC (Full-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control), ICC (Intelligent Cruise Control Assist), FCW (Forward Collision Warning), Active Braking System, IHBC (Intelligent High and Low Beam Switching), LDW (Lane Departure Warning), LKA (Lane Keeping Assist), ELKA (Lane Keeping Emergency Assist), TSI (Traffic Sign Recognition), TAA (Large Vehicle Intelligent Avoidance), etc.

Ready to Challenge for Number One in the B-SUV Market
The Geely EX5 will face fierce competition in the B-SUV segment from rivals like BYD Atto 3, Neta X, Omoda C5 EV, GAC Aion Y Plus, and MG ZS EV. In terms of Geely's electric vehicle production for the global market, it has already demonstrated the company's growing technological capabilities, especially in innovative manufacturing, assembly quality, and battery components. This gives strong potential that the new electric vehicle, the Geely EX5, will feature advanced technology at an appropriate price, with performance comparable to its market rivals.

Soon, we will see the Geely EX5 in its right-hand drive version, which is set to officially launch in October 2024. The estimated price is expected to be similar to competitors, in the range of 900,000 to 1.1 million Baht. If you are waiting to see the actual car, at the "41st Thailand International Motor Expo" or Motor Expo 2024, you will encounter another level of quality from this Chinese electric vehicle giant, ready to challenge for the number one spot in the fierce electric vehicle market war.
